Sagittarius Guys Please ANSWER... What is going through his head?!!!!?

My best friend, or maybe not anymore is Nick (sagittarius). When i met him, he was broken up with a girl he was with for about two years (shes a Scorpio). Theyve been on and off and she even cheated on him. But when we started talking, we were instantly attracted to each other. And he helped me get over my ex of four years. We never kissed, but he admitted to liking me. After a while he said he didnt wanna hurt me and didnt want me liking him too much cause im still a virgin and he knows how special it is to me. We go to college together and always smile and say hi when we see each other and he gets mad if i dont say hi back. He says i'm his best friend and that one day he knows we will be together. I asked him why he wont break up with the girl and he says he doesnt know, he knows theyll break up again like they always do, but hes only broken up with a girl once and it didnt end well so he hates breaking up with girls. I know i really like him, but sometimes he just wont text me back, and i just dont know if hes just ******* with my head? but he says he isnt.
