Aries males seem straightforward, but can they be shy?

I’m a Capricorn, &I like this Aries a lot. Before he knew I liked him, he used to tease me a lot in cl. We had a retreat & played this “dating game” were you pick 12 people you want to get to know better, & one of them was me! =). Out of nowhere he punched me. He’d randomly say to me “what’s up?” When he found out I liked him, he started to act differently. He ALWAYS stared at me. He’d notice me in a crowded room quickly. As soon as I walk into a room, he and his friends stare. He’d stare at me from across the room, when I catch him at it he’ll hold eye contact with me. My friends tell me when he’s staring. He likes to step away from his friends to get noticed, and stare. He’ll also stare at me when he comes down the steps. He has his locker beside mine, and when I’m at my locker, I notice he sticks around to eavesdrop on my conversations. He also opens his locker, looks in it, and closes it.
