Not getting approved for my loan...?

I already have my financial aid through fasfa and my grants, however I'm still left with 6,500 owed. I applied for a sallymae loan but was denied unless I acquire a credit worthy co-signer. I have no one to sign for me at all.. parents, friends, nothing. My husband is currently deployed, but since I've chosen a private college I'm ineligible for istance through the army. Where else can I turn to? Can my school somehow help me out? Do I need to go to the bank? Etc.. Thanks!!
