Help connecting ipod touch to wifi?

I just recently switched from fios back to Comcast. With fios, I could simply put in a WEP pword into the wifi settings screen on my ipod and it would connect to the wifi. Now, it won't connect, even with the pword Comcast gave us. And yes, I already checked caps and it IS the correct pword. We had to install the software for the router to my laptop before it could connect to the wifi, so would I have to somehow install that software to my ipod so it would pick up the router's wifi? I have a link sys router, btw.
