Do you need to include your receipt when you ship your UGGs back for warranty?

I want to send my ugg boots to ugg australia because their official ugg cleaner ruined my boots. Its been less than a year so its valid for the one-year warranty and I bought it from an authorized ugg dealer. The site doesn't say anything about including the receipt so are they somehow able to figure out when you bought them or should I put the receipt in?
